We adopted three boys with various forms of autism and appreciate those who would blog on such an important subject. People more than ever need to be informed about autism and what life is like for those so affected since this debilitating condition seems to be on the rise.

Behavior Analysis began as the experimental analysis of behavior but was soon extended to applied behavior analysis (ABA) and radical behaviorism circa early 1970s. With the shrinking economy killing off soft funding of basic behavioral science research and reduction in applied funding, the extensive study required has lead to the ABA's use by professional practice of behavior analysis. Also with the shrinking economy came the extension of radical behaviorism into culture analysis and anthropology as relatively academic pursuits. With the current economic crises teetering on the brink between normal business cycles and actual economic collapse along with the political threats of terrorism and instability, radical behaviorism and ABA may yet serve more powerful interests in transforming culture to one of greater sustainability through research activism.

Just thought I should mention a current, just released book on this subject called The Power of Self Separation Acceptance or Rejection. This book describes a new understanding of personal behavior.I believe you will enjoy reading it.

I agree with Marci. Simmons made a calculated move to get himself off the show. While i agree that he might have felt that his time is better spent somewhere else, i also got a feeling that he was saving up on his favors since he was the guy who was the most aggressive in calling on his celeb contacts to come down and contribute huge sums. We all know how that works - if you ask for favors, then you owe favors too!!
